With the first all-nighter still looming fresh in everyone’s mind, we had to pull something good out of p.o.n.g's infinite bag of tricks. the result being the hilarious forfeits for the winners, losers and just down right plain unlucky. needless to say that when word spread of the forfeit twist the all-nighter was filled with those a minute to slow missing out on spaces.

The night started with everyone in good form, only to be improved when pizza fresh from dominoes passed hungry lips. Excitement grew as the competitions drew closer, no one knew what to expect as all games and prizes were kept under lock and key known only to a specific few.

Challenge your friends with PONG's new ladder system and win free time.

There will be a 2 week beta testing of PONG centrals new ladder system starting monday the 4th of August to monday the 18th of August. There will be 5 ladders running as follows:

Call of duty 4
Counter Strike:Source
Flatout 2
Command and Conquer 3: Kanes Wrath
Company of Heroes

The Ladders will be only 1v1 for the duration of the testing, and a member of staff must be notified that a ladder game is starting and the end score of the match.

The top player of each ladder on Monday 18th of August will be rewarded a free daypass.

With Summer Coming to a close is it time to put the games down and take the books out???

here at pong we say summer's not over yet, and to end it with a bang!!!

how you ask, well how else but an allnight game spectacular on saturday the 30th. V-deck and myself have already put the thinking caps into overdrive and in the result pulled together some prize winning competitions.

also with the internet finally working many more gaming options are available to us, including the extensive game list of steam.

This Saturday 26th of July P.O.N.G will be hosting a 24hour Lan event at QUeens University Belfast, Students Union from 12 noon saturday til 12 noon sunday. It will feature over 10+ consoles on overhead projectors, a "chillout area" that will be playing various videos/cartoons all day (family guy etc etc). There will also be 20 high spec pcs there solely for tournaments.

There will be 40-60 byoc slots available (high demand tho). Entrance fee will be £8 and £15 if you bring your own pc which includes entry into every event. Anyone is welcome to attend the event and enter all tournaments. Please note that only 18+ can stay overnight at the event.

We will also be running various tournaments including :

* COD4
* Guitar Hero
* Super Smashbros Brawl
* CS:Source
* etc etc

At the event we will be having the Northern Ireland WCG (World Cyber Games) for the Ireland WCG. These tournaments are strictly 18+ and require an irish passport.

The games that will feature as qualifiers for this years WCG event are:

* Halo3 (xBox 360) - 4 man team
* PGR4 (xBox 360) - Individual
* Fifa08 (PC) - Individual
* WC3 (PC) - Individual
